Every Opening Flower is an original sampler design inspired by a piece of heavily damaged antique cross stitch. Brenda Gervais was captivated by the beauty of the deteriorating needlework and chose to preserve its essence by creating this sampler. The design features a large urn filled with flowers as the central motif, complemented by elements inspired by Quaker motifs, original designs, and an alphabet. Additional motifs, such as a bee skep within a wreath and a bird on a branch, offer opportunities for creating coordinating needlebooks or pincushions.
